Delete your Tabby account

Tabby is a shared-expense app published by Pixbox Labs. You can delete your Tabby account and personal data at any time, directly from the app or the web — you don’t need to contact us. This page explains how, and exactly what is deleted and what is retained.

Delete from the mobile app (iOS & Android)

1. Open Tabby and tap the You tab.
2. Tap Privacy & security.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm in the dialog. Your account and personal data are removed immediately and you’re signed out.

Delete from the web

1. Sign in at tabby.pixboxlabs.com.
2. Open Settings.
3. Under Delete account, tick the confirmation and choose Permanently delete.

Can’t sign in?

If you can’t access your account, email support@pixboxlabs.com from the email address on the account and we’ll delete it for you.

What is deleted

Deletion is immediate and permanent — there is no recovery window. We remove:

• Your profile — name, email address, and profile photo.
• Your sign-in credentials — your password and any linked Google account.
• All active sessions (you’re signed out everywhere).
• Your push-notification registrations, your in-app notifications, and your notification preferences.
• The receipt images you added to your expenses, and the payment screenshots you uploaded to settle your own shares.
• Any group in which you were the only member — including its expenses and history.

What is retained, and why

Tabby is a shared expense app, so some records must survive to keep other people’s balances correct — but they are stripped of anything that identifies you:

• In groups you shared with other people, the expenses and settlements you were part of are kept so your co-members’ balances and history stay accurate. You are shown only as “Deleted user” — with no name, email, or photo. We never delete other members’ records.

Retention period

• Personal data & credentials: removed immediately and irreversibly when you delete your account.
• Anonymized shared records: the de-identified “Deleted user” placeholder is kept only for as long as the shared group exists. Once the last remaining member leaves that group, it is deleted too.
• Backups: routine encrypted backups that may briefly contain residual data are rotated out within 30 days.
